Passion, politics and poverty collide as this stunning love story unfolds
against a backdrop of political turmoil. Set in 1970's Jamaica, Better Mus'
Come is based on a violent moment in history when rival gangs were enlisted
by warring political factions to disrupt the democratic process, and bloodshed
was unleashed in the streets of Jamaica. Better Mus' Come begins in ’77
and ends the in the first couple days of ’78 during the Green Bay Massacre. This
explosive film follows Ricky, a gang leader and political pawn, as he struggles
to navigate the hardships of life in Kingston, and to define a better way of
life for his young son.
