Passion, politics and poverty collide as this stunning love story unfolds against a backdrop of political turmoil. Set in 1970's Jamaica, Better Mus' Come is based on a violent moment in history when rival gangs were enlisted by warring political factions to disrupt the democratic process, and bloodshed was unleashed in the streets of Jamaica. Better Mus' Come begins in ’77 and ends the in the first couple days of ’78 during the Green Bay Massacre. This explosive film follows Ricky, a gang leader and political pawn, as he struggles to navigate the hardships of life in Kingston, and to define a better way of life for his young son.

Taj Weekes and his band Adowa bring a vibrant sound that defies genre and has garnered critical acclaim and a wide audience across the globe. This award-winning, St. Lucian artist has won “Best Reggae Album” at the Just Plain Folks Music Awards, was shortlisted for a Grammy Award and is a Goodwill Ambassador for a United Nations affiliate.

An American born artist from Trinidadian and Jamaican parentage, JaSon Auguste uses multiple mediums from digital to graphic, to mixed media, to paint on canvas. His current collection of works, Wadada = Love Seeing the Seen Unseen ... are re-imagined ancients symbols with modern meanings.
